Practice:

3-5 Every Thursday--subject to change depending on tournament dates and necessity.

 

Team meeting:

Every Tuesday @ lunch in Rm. 210. Best way to get updated on the weeks news and confirm practice time. Consistent attendance at meetings will often give debaters priority over others when not all members can go to tournaments. Make sure to be there!

Tournament Protocol:

While we have a handout that we can give you, here are a few quick fixes and ideas about what to bring and wear.

  • Suit, if possible. Let our coaches Williamson and  Maxson or our captains Roxanne and Mari know at least  one week prior to a tournament if you need to borrow a suit.

  • Bring either a lunch or money. The food at tournaments isn't the best (unless you love cold pizza and taco in a bag), so bringing a lunch is your best bet.

  • As for debate materials, a legal pad, pens,  printed cases,  (only necessary for debates LD and Public Forum), and a timer are necessities.

  • Do not leave campus.

  • Any other questions can be directed towards our coaches and team members!
